Hello,
After several tournaments and before Lure 2018, I think it is time to make a little update of the scenario rules. In this first part, the changes are only minor or clarifications, so I think they should not need to be discussed, but you can of course make comments…
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* I.1 General:
You can have a 30 card sideboard deck.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* I.4 Optional rules:
Before each game, each player makes a 2 dice-roll. The player with the highest roll can choose his Wizard/Ringwraith (so, he put 3 copies of his Avatar into his deck, showing them to his opponent) or he can choose to play first (or not), but before the character draft. If necessary, the other player must choose another Wizard/Ringwraith (he discards the copies of the same Avatar).

If the player with the highest roll had not chosen a Wizard/Ringwraith, the other player can do it. If the player with the highest roll had chosen a Wizard/Ringwraith, the other player can choose to play first (or not). (from a Belgian variant)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* German Promos cards :

German Promos cards are tournament legal (in their original version, not the DC ones).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* Card Ruling :

Neither so Ancient Neither so Potent gives items MP.

* If The One Ring is destroyed (hero success), or stored at Barad-dûr (minion success), the game ends immediately. Nevertheless, the other player must make his corruption checks (to verify the scenario conditions at the end of the game).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5) Alliance of Free Peoples :
DR: none.
WR: Alliance of Free Peoples is in play. A company contains at least three characters with a mind higher than 6. One of those three characters has to be an Elf, one a Man and one a Dwarf. A company containing these characters has a Valiant Sword, successfully played at a non Haven site.

You can vote until the end of this month (January 2018)
You can make comments in this thread.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* You can win two different scenarios with one same deck (there are some possible scenarios). In this case you get the tournament points for both scenarios !
You can win two different scenarios with one same deck (there are some possible scenarios). In that case, you get only the tournament points for one scenario (the most difficult).

Argumentation : too many points are awarded by succeeding several scenarios. This can cause a distortion in the results of a tournament.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Difficulty rating modification :
12) The Daughters of Vaiya :
DR: No Wizard may be played. Only the following characters may be played : Annalena, Arinmir, Arwen, Eowyn, Galadriel, Galva, Ioreth, Peath, Vôteli, Vygavril. Only the following items may be played : Elf-stone, Emerald of Doriath, Emerald of the Mariner, Gems of Arda, Jewel of Beleriand, Necklace of Girion, Necklace of Silver and Pearls, Noldo Lantern, Phial of Galadriel, Star-glass, Torque of Hues.
WR: 5 characters are in play and each of them possesses an item. Nenseldë the Wingild, Mistress Lobelia or Goldberry is in play.

The difficulty rating changes, from Medium to Easy.

Argumentation :
this scenario is not very difficult to succeed. It is more difficult to score many marshalling points, but it is another problem.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Difficulty rating modification :
H) Lust For Gold :

DR: No Orc and Troll characters may be played (but you can play a Ringwraith).
WR: Four Dwarven characters, Petty-Dwarves and four Dwarven rings are in play.

The difficulty rating changes, from Medium to Difficult.

Argumentation : the conditions of this scenario seems more difficult than expected.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Difficulty rating modification :
A) They Ride Together :

DR: none.
WR: At least 6 Ringwraiths play together "Smoke on the Wind" and are afterwards in play.

The difficulty rating changes, from Difficult to Medium

Argumentation :
this scenario seems not very difficult.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* Scenario modification :
4) The Seventh Palantir :
DR: none.
WR: The Ithil-stone is stored at Rivendell or Fate of the Ithil-stone is stored at a Haven.

Argumentation : there are 2 ways to succeed this scenario. One of them seems less difficult than the other. So, the proposal is to split this scenario into 2 different scenarios :

4) The Seventh Palantir : Difficult
DR : none.
WR: The Ithil-stone is stored at Rivendell

20) Fate of the Ithil Stone : Medium
DR: none.
WR: Fate of the Ithil-stone is stored at a Haven.

A new proposal, made by Fangorn :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Tournament Points for several scenarios :
My opinion is rewarding both scenarios successfully played, to a maximum of the most TP possible, which is 7 (with a difficult scenario and winning due to MP)
With this rule TP will always be 7, except for 2 easy scenarios successfully played and losing due to MP
So finally as a simple rule :
A3 : you get 7 tournament points
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This proposal seems interesting, so I add it to the votes. You can change your vote if you have already voted.

I think it s a mistake for daugther of Vaiya not to consider the MP problem in the difficulty lvl. If you lower it to easy nobody will play it again. Who wants a deck where you are quasi sure to be defeated and not making scenario point...
In the same way the dunk scenario is too powerfull in my opinion. Because your scenario and victory conditions are the same. So you have to focus in one unique goal to earn 10 points. If you look at the results this deck wins often.

The Daughters of Vaiya : the main challenge is to win with MP. I think it is possible with an appropriate deck. But we must consider that the scenario itself is easy.

Gollum's Fate : with this scenario, we earn 0 or 10 points (the scenario is rated medium, not difficult). But it can be easily countered (Gollum, corruption cards....). I think we need a One Ring scenario. What would be your alternative proposal ?

Reforging scenario :

When i want to restore Ringil, has the character bearing the sword to be at the haven where Reforging was stored? is it needed to return to a haven anyway?? or is Reforging just placed at the item, no matter where the character is?
*** I will make no ruling on Ringil, since that is not a CoE-sanctioned card. Anduril, however, can be placed with Narsil immediately after Reforging is stored and discarded. There is no need to be at or return to the Haven.

There is no ruling from the Netrep of the COE. So, for our scenarios format, we will say that it is not necessary to be at an Haven to play a stored Reforging on an item (so, it will be more playable).

"Ringil, Horn der Herausforderung and Belegennon"-cards say:
You can place a already stored Reforging to this card to restore this item.

So for me it's clear (like Dominique said above) you can immediatly put a already stored Reforging card to one of the above mentioned item card directly after playing that item. No matter where no matter when, even directly in the end of the site phase after plaing that item.
That's what the cards say and there is no other errata so fas as I know.

Well there is two way of thinking. We can focus on the difficulty to fulfill the scenario or on the opportunity to win the tournament with such a scenario. Because it's a tournament in fine. If you want to reach this one you have to unbalance your resource deck putting inside at least 6 useless minor item. And the others allowed items are not giving many of them and you have to get them on dragon's lair or underdeep. So the only way to rise your MP is Factions. More rsc cards. Moreover your group is weak, so you can't afford moving without protection cards (5 characters on table mini)... Balancing such a deck is a real problem. That's my 2 cents.

Like every Scenario, one card can ruin your scenario. (do you remember when you played Lobelia agent to block me ;) )
The fact is that nobody start with such cards in is deck, you have to access your sideboard to get them. When you construct your deck you know this fact and you can try to limit the risk. But I totally agree that a one ring deck is mandatory. The pb is that fulfilling the scenario bring you a total vicotry. It's the only scenario doing this and if you look at stats in tournament you will see that it have a higher win rate. But no idea how to balance this :D.
