Shall we play 4 rounds + finals when we have 8 or more teams?

Sure, CoL rules rule!

Just because I got asked by people:

The last game has still a slight chance that it will be played. Round 1 lasts normally until Sunday. No delaying planed so far. If mithrandir cant find a computer and an account to play with it will be handeled as forfeited and Austria wins 6:0. But thats not the achievement I want as it might distort the competition.

However pairings will probably be published on monday morning at the latest.

We could still change that. It would be nice to watch some games in round 3. And with 8 teams the finalists will probably meet teams in finals which they already played and know their decks.

What do you think?

I think allowing change of decks between swiss round and semifinals would make the tournament more interesting, I'm in favour of sucha proposal too.
Though my opinion doesn't matter much, since Italy has no hope to reach semifinals. :P

generally i also think its a good idea. but making any changing while the tourney is in progress is never a good idea - generally!

I agree is a good idea but also thorondor is right - changing rules when event started isnt the best option..

Does it make a big difference here?

While I can imagine the reasons why someone would not like to know this has changed after the tournament has started, this is not my case, and I prefer to have the possibility to change decks. Maybe doing a poll for some days and see what do people think?

Changing an important rule while the tourney is already running is not very nice actually, but since this tourney is self-organized by the players themselves I think there would be no problem in allowing deck change before semifinals if all the 24 players taking part to the NC agree to do so.

I know that changing the rules during a tournament is quite confusing. But this changing wouldnt affect the ongoing tournament. Its still enough time left until finals. So lets change it. Best about that is that we all have the possibility to watch the games in round 3. And this is more in the tradition of the MECCG World Championships, where deck changing is allowed and you have to make a new deck in one night and drunk...

Its allowed to change the decks before finals.

And I must face the dunk-machine again..... :?
