So we have the following
Hero Company / Minion Company
Covert / Overt companies
FW
1 half-orc alone is Minion/Hero company Covert/Overt?
1 half-orc and 1 man is Minion/Hero company Covert/Overt?
1 half-orc and 2 men is Minion/Hero company Covert/Overt?
1 half-orc and 1 FW is Minion/Hero company Covert/Overt?
Minion
1 half-orc alone is a minion company : overt or covert?
1 half-orc and 1 man is a minion company: overt or covert?
1 half-orc and 2 men is a minion company: overt or covert?
Rules by definition alone are really impossible. They need to be followed by examples for new players and even experienced players.
Landroval can only be played on overt minion company.
Elf-Lord is detainment only against Hero companies.
Thank you.

that some allies can make a company overt, but Half-orcs do not.
FW companies with:
1 half-orc alone,
1 half-orc and 1 man,

1 half-orc and 1 FW,
are neither hero or overt. They are covert but not minion.
Minion companies with:

1 half-orc and 2 men,
are covert mionon companies.
Additionally (for FW companies):
Landroval cannot be played against any of above mentioned companies.WH rules wrote:Overt companies are not minion companies for the purposes of the detainment

for hazards that can only attack/effect minion companies (e.g., Sons of

Elf-Lord Revealed in Wrath is not detainment against any of above mentioned companies.
We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.

White Hand rulings insert wrote:Orcs that are “Half-orcs” are special — if a Half-orc is in a company with only Half-orcs and Men, the company is not overt (i.e., the Half-orcs appear to be ugly men to the casual observer). (a) When is a fallen wizard player's character considered hero, minion, or other?

Characters can be:
(a) for a hero player
(i) hero
(b) for a minion player
(i) minion
(c) for a fw player
(i) hero (non-orcs non-trolls)
(ii) minion (orcs including half-orcs, trolls)

(c) for a fw player
(i) covert hero (companies with nothing making them overt)
(ii) overt
(1) non-minion (due to overt-making non-orc non-troll ally, Freeze the Flesh, or Cast from the Order)
(2) minion (due to presence of an orc, a troll, or a half-orc with other characters than only half-orcs and
men)
are covert hero companies!? Though I think that Konrad's way of seeing it is more logical.FW companies with:
1 half-orc alone,
1 half-orc and 1 man,
1 half-orc and 2 men,
1 half-orc and 1 FW,
There might be room in that character/company definition for a FW covert (non-hero, non-minion) company, but that should be discussed with the netrep team. It would create a weird dynamic with some stuff though, like Elf-lords would attack those companies freely.
Btw I think a Fallen-wizard in a company with Half-orcs makes the company overt minion (FW is neither Half-orc nor Man).

That leads to conclusion that joining two non-overt companies may result in overt company.
E.g. company with one half-orc + company with one half-orc.
Especially that WH uses singular form for half-orcs.
Ringwraith/hobbit/dwarf are neither half-orcs or men too. So if in company with half-orc(s) (at dark/wizardhaven) this company may be considered overt - for the same reasons.
Where is the good old rule that CRF has priority over rulesbooks?

Well, ICE was very reluctant to admit its errors. It prefer to say "read X as Y", or "Z is working even if technically it does not have a right to be working" (see entries for Baduila, or Deeper Shadow).
Nevertheless: if two statements are partially contradicting each in other, then (maximum) only one is correct.
