As I'm sure you know, Josh Hunholz will be our chairman this session, so there's 8 possible candidates for vice chairman. Our first order of business in a new session is to select a vice-chair, so let's have some nominations.

I nominate Piotr and Manuel.

Seconds? Further nominations? :D

Thanks for the support guys, and for your confindence in me! Unfortunately, I am working a lot lately (new lp for my band, new projects, etc) and I still don't know how many time left I would have to do my job as vicechairman quite well. Also, I just entered the council a few days ago - my opinion is that a more experienced member should carry on with that position.

Hi fellow new annd old CoE-members, esp. Mark and Manuel!

Thanks for your nomination but I must decline it. A vice chair must give even 10 % more than any other CoE member. And the one who goes for this position must be aware of this and have the time to give those extra percent at any moment. Due to my Ph.D. thesis there will be times when I will be short in time. That is the reason why I must deline your nomination.

I'm very surprised and happy that I was nominated and even second for the position of vice chairman but I think a more experienced member of the Council should take this position

besides I plan on keeping myself rather busy with digging up rules, digests and CRF for more rules inconsistencies to fix :P

Just to make sure I understand the term "seconding", doesn't it imply only the first person agreeing with a nomination can second that nomination ;) ?
