Hi all!

Some days ago, i was "middleearthing" with a friend and he told me he usually, when he does not have the site, uses his mobile phone to google for the needed site image, full sizes it and place it over the table as if it were the real card.
The problem with this is that not all sites are easily found in a quick google search.
That made me think and as a result, I came up with the idea of writing an online interactive map.

The idea is that once you select the map you need (heroes, minion..underground) you can hover the map regions (color coded based on region type) and click over the desired region.
A new web will come up with all the sites inside that region.
Well, have a look and see if you find it useful:

Work is still ongoing, so if you come up with any ideas please share!
Hope you like it! :D

PS: Site basic information is on the main map under the site name. Just zoom to check it out.

Servus Vastor!
DC for "Dreamcards" i presume?

it is one of my mid-term plans to learn and get into the DC, so yes, a DC version is possible!

Great stuff!
I think I'll turn this into a sticky.
are these images now google-searchable?

yes DC refers to dreamcards. We can easily supply you with both a map and sitecard images. Let's make that a short-term goal ;-)

nb. Harondor has 2x minion Haudh-in-Gwanûr.

Hi, sorry for the (very) late response...
I would presume the images are google searchable, since they are on the web. Are you concerned about the DC images? I could make a downloadable web version, so you could have on your pc, phone....
Regarding the DC version, I think i´ll have some free time in the months to come, so yeah, i agree with you...let´s focus on a date and try to get the DC version out!
I remember many years ago, maybe you?, gave me permission to get the DC images.....but i cant find the links, can you send me the map and the site cards so i can start working?

And...another question:
Is there any way to get the DC set printed?

Thanks!

Really nice job on the map.

Now find a way to use a session variable and a flag to 'exhaust' the visited sites for that game session. :). Kidding; that would be cool but it would involve a good bit of coding.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks mate!
Well, believe or not....i started a little project using Martin O'Leary´s wonderful project on fantasy maps generator.
http://mewo2.com/notes/terrain/
The idea was to be able to generate a random meccg map using the existing regions. I thought it would be fun to have all regions randomly relocated before the beginning of a game.....rivendel at the coast....mordor next to lorien, you get the idea.
It is taking me a lot of time to finish and i hope i can get it finished someday.

Of course any improvements and suggestions are very welcome.
Using graphs to calculate possible paths was one of them.....an exhaust flag is a good idea

Thanks!

Hi Germanico,

research is research HAHA. I saw this post a year or so ago, and I was like YES!

I was wanting to do an MECCG project and I have incorporated some elements of this work into my project.

I created a Standard version of your map and tweaked bits, and then just finished off the Dreamcard version of the map(s), with some direction from the learning I got after working on the Standard Map.

September 1st, 2018, I am going to announce the ßeta of my project, and I hope you are ok with the PROPS, for the contribution!

Thanks

This is a slick site, very nice work. It is a shame that it looks like it will be shutting down in a couple weeks.

I don't suppose you (or anyone else) still has the files for this site? I went there just now to archive it myself, and I can't access the URL anymore.

Got it, thanks. As best as I can tell, I've mirrored the site on my local computer, so even if the site does go down in two weeks (or however soon), the information isn't lost.

Hi,
yeah....hosting was about to close forever.

However!
I got the site moved to another free hosting service, so everything should be up and running again in this url:

@rezwits
