I opened a booster pack. I saw Éowyn. The only thing that has stopped me buying since is lack of funds.
The game is flawed, but this does not mean it cannot be loved.

AFAIK Angelo Montanini doesn't sell his original paintings. (The Eowyn painting in the Greisinger Museum in Switzerland looks like it was commissioned later).Bandobras Took wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 6:09 pm I opened a booster pack. I saw Éowyn. Believe it or not, I was offered the original fpor 'Fury of the Iron Crown' by Angelo for a whopping Eu3000.
Even though I collect the art (I have 24 paintings now in total), this was waaaayyyyy outside my budget.

The beautiful painting by Rob Alexander comes close to how I always imagined this demon from the first age. I especially love those colours.

This painting went for a really great price. Really pleased for both the seller and buyer (not me)!

Looks like Donato Giancola didn't study the source well, unless, of course, this is not the first meeting, which it is, I presume, according to the flavor text.
"It is told in the Lay of Leithian that Beren came stumbling into Doriath grey and bowed as with many years of woe, so great had been the torment of the road" (The Silmarillion).
I doubt Beren would have been running around Dungortheb in such an attire

I think the players look like they have all just escaped from the mines of Moria.
The chap on the far left looks like a descendant of Bombur, and the chap fifth from left has a prize-winning Dwarf beard.

Return of the King
Not the greatest Illustration in the cards, but thematically I love it.
Took me quite a long time to collect it in all available languages, but some ten years ago I finished that task.
Will post a pic some day.

I'm kind of obsessed with Vilya. This is probably because Elrond is my #1 guy, and Vilya makes him unstoppable. Would love to see an updated, high detail artwork.
