Hello to all,

The hero version of Worthy Hills has the following special ability:
Special:  You  may  tap  a  sage  and  a  scout  during  the  site  phase  to  untap  this  site.
I'd simply like to know if one single character with those two skills can tap to meet the requirements, or will the site untap only if you tap two distinct characters, one with the sage skill and the other with the scout skill?

Thanks for your help.

you need to tap X and Y for it. If you tap one single character with both skills you are tapping either X or Y, so you will need to tap another character.

shorter answer: you need 2.

Is it necessary for the sage and the scout who tap to be AT the site?

Or can they be over in Isengard smoking Longbottom Leaf?

To be pedantic, The Worthy Hills (Hero) is not affected by this CRF rule, which places restrictions on "the character doing so" (untapping the site). Note that this rule is about a singular character untapping a site, but says *nothing* about when there isn't a single character untapping the site. For The Worthy Hills ability, there is no such "the character"! Depending on the parsing either "you" the player is doing the untapping, or else *two* character*s* are doing so.

Indeed! :P

So perhaps the CRF should be written more precisely. There is little doubt, however, as to what it is trying to say.

Plentifulness of phrase "both players" in CRF does not necessarily mean that a multi-player game is radically different from a game with only two players.
