good friends of MECCG and the Dream-card projects,

Winter has almost lost its bite, and with the imminent arrival of spring, we'd like to announce the release of a new Dream-cards project!
After First Folk (2014) and The Necromancer (2018), we are near to completing Middle-earth: the Northern Legacy.

It was decided via a poll within the community that the next Dream-card expansion should focus on exploring new lands rather than races. The Northern Legacy is based in large part on RPG material from Iron Crown Enterprises, mostly from the Northern Waste and Mount Gundabad modules.

It consists of two sets.
Middle-earth: The Northen Waste contains cards that bring the regions in Forodwaith to life, and portray the epic struggles of heroes against the unnatural forces of cold and wind.
Middle-earth: Morgoth's Legacy zooms in Melkor's former domains in the North, much of it underground, but some also in Beleriand, above the waves of Belegaer. First Age stories come to life, mostly for the minion (Balrog) alignment.

There is a total of 350 new cards, in a playset of 605 cards.
As per usual, two Player Guides provide detailed information on the cards, strategies and tips for playing them, and juicy background-stories.
And the set also comes with another A3 laminated map for games in the North.

all cards can be viewed, downloaded, and played on cardnum: http://70.180.210.3:1042/cards

It will take some months of work still, but the time has come to check the level of interest in a physical production of cards and books. You'll find the sign-up documents in this thread. If you are interested in joining this project, please fill out this form(s) and send it to me or Nicolai (scanned).

We have also received requests for a reprint of First Folk and The Necromancer. If you are interested in such a reprint, there are also separate sign-up forms for these sets.

We hope you are as excited about these new projects as we are, and that we can get these beautiful cards and books to you in 2022 (shipment and supply-chain issues notwithstanding).

cheers
Eric & Nicolai

You can find it from the documents, estimated at 125€ but the final cost depends on the amount of orders.

Hate to send something like this on here, but I have been trying to gain access to a printer to sign up for all this. Unfortunately, do to work, I haven't had printer access where I am located since this announcement was posted. I'm about to return from this trip and get set up, but feeling like Pippin, don't want to be left behind.

I'll get ib contact again when I've gotten the printer set up to send in the info

Thanks

I think you still have plenty of time as said in the original post, it will still take few months to finish the sets for printing.

Dang, can we get that promo poster also?

You also forgot to mention the best parts of the Northern Waste:
  • Take Beadmaking 101 from master craftsmen.
  • Spend the day at the spa and hot springs getting massages from elvish milk maids.
  • Play even MORE animal factions and allies.
  • Wolf petting zoos. We hope you like wolves.
  • What about dice rolling? We've got lots of dice rolling.
  • 1. Battle creatures and get wounded. 2. Enter the Site. 3. Somehow obtain an item. Now repeat but discard that item against the creatures or heal... and profit?
  • And did you remember to move to Jääkylät first? Or does your opponent have Twilight? Then sorry about your invalid movement.
Sign me up!
I'll sign myself up later
