Hi everyone,
I'm very happy to be able to post questions here (I got so many...) and, of course, like many here, I'm a big MECCG fan since 10 years (but I must admit, I've spent some of those years not playing at all...).
So here are my 2 first stupid questions (I've searched the forum here and at meccg.net, but still don't get it...).

I've ALWAYS played HERO and I'm starting to build a MINION deck to play with friends, but as we all know, the best games are the ones when you play only cards (or avatars) that you fully understand - otherwise the game is slow and you spend all the time looking at the Rules (which, we all know, are not always right...).
So I want to try my Lidless Eye cards... (let's hope I'll try Fallen wizards near 2018  )

1) Everyone seems to agree to the fact that, starting with your ringwraith at Minas Morgul, you can't go to Barad-Dur without a mode card. I honestly don't understand why : the nearest darkhaven written on the Barad dur Minion card says : nearest haven : Minas morgul. I thought I had understand the ringwraith starter only movement, but it seems I'm wrong... Could someone explain this to me, please ?
2) Playing Ringwraith followers : I thought that you could only construct your minion deck with 2 same ringwraith plus 1 other OR 3 same ringwraith (the same as Wizards) : so how can I play more ringwraith than that ?
3) Is there a way to find the ultimate Sauron/Lidless Eye deck around (a deck which uses every Sauron only cards), please ? Because I'm trying to build one and I'm not totally aware of every cards from the latest sets (especially Against the Shadow and Balrog). Is such a deck really fun to play ? (I know you can't play it against Minions, but I got a friend who plays Balrog each time and it would be great if I could use it against him...)

I got many other questions to ask, but I prefer start with the most dumb so that people will think I'm getting more intelligent next time

Thanks a lot

There are two limitations to Ringwraith movement:

1) In order to move to a non-Darkhaven site, a Ringwraith must be in a mode, and;
2) Ringwraiths cannot use region movement.

This unfortunately means that to move to Barad-Dur does require a mode for every Ringwraith except Ren, who can come into play at Barad-Dur because of his home site.

As far as followers, any number of Ringwraiths can be put in your sideboard; to get them all in your play deck, tap your Ringwraith twice to bring them to the discard pile and then play Back to the Fray.

You can unfortunately not be Sauron against the Balrog; the Balrog set is home to many unfortunate inconsistencies due to the nature of its release. As far as learning about later sets, I highly recommend GCCG (see the forum about it).

Most people have their RW stay in a haven and this is also easy to play. Most straightforward are Hoarmurath, Dwar or Adunaphel.

In the virtual card we had a discussion about Ringwraiths and I wrote some document that might be useful:

You can ignore the comments about virtual cards if you want. Those are meant to make active RW better.

I do not know if Sauron / Lidless Eye is fun to play. If you do use him, I would use agents, since they can then be played as characters at their home sites. Just for the fun.

Thank you for your quick answers.

So if I understand, in order to play Last Child of U., you CAN'T go to Shelob's Lair with a company consisting of your Ringwraith PLUS a non ringwraith character ? That means, if you want to do the sacrifice, you MUST go there with your Ringwraith and another Ringwraith follower (or play a combo, but I wanted to sacrifice someone) ?

But, if you decide that your Ringwraith will not move and stay at Minas morgul, you could put some minions character in your deck to play them under your ringwraith DI ? That would mean that Uvatha and Dwar are the best with their 5 DI allowing you to play 2 MP characters...

I've already read about the playing Ren at Barad dur thing, but I don't think that's funny to play the same ringwraith as everybody (that's the same thing for the Pallando/Grey Haven/Elves/Cirdan/Wizard's ring/Galdor thing : all my friends play with that combo... :( ).

So ,Leon, having a look at your post and at the Ringwraith 's manual I don't understand why Uvatha is less played : why isn't his tapping ability the greatest among the Nine ? Like a smoke rings for free, allowing you not to play 3 Weigh all things to a nicety - if you put 2 Black rider cards instead (so Uvatha goes to non-haven sites), it's 1 free slot instead of playing the Ren thing ...

Thanks :D

If you want to go to Shelobs Lair, I would leave that to your characters and sacrifice a small orc.

If you stay at a haven you can include Bade to Rule in your deck for 5 extra general influence. Then the main criterium for the RW to pick is his haven ability.

I agree that the Ren-thing is kinda boring, but that is what he is used for.

Regarding Uvatha: returning cards from your discard is something you mainly do if you get into trouble and desperately need those cancelers again. These days, most decks aim for speed and getting cards back to your deck slows you down.

My favourite ringwraith is Dwar (sending a group of strong men to burn Minas Tirith with Smoke on the Wind for example)
