Hello everyone,

I'm Jorge, from Spain. I played MECCG when it first came out, back in the 90s, in its Spanish edition, and came back to it thanks to the Remaster. Since solo is really my only option, I've built a fan app to make solo games easier:
  • Hazard deck during a game: draw, resolve and undo. In assisted mode the app keeps track of your companies and their moves (starter, region and Under-deeps movement), works out the site path and how many hazards to draw, and reveals them one by one, setting aside what can't be keyed or played.
  • Decks: build your own, generate one at random by set, or start from a challenge deck, a starter deck or a solo scenario.
  • Arda in solo: two variants, based on kober's Arda Solitaire (with the 2024 Compiled Arda Ruleset) and on Condotiero's Arda rules from the Spanish community.
  • Community solo scenarios, credited and linked to their authors.
  • The rules it applies, with an index and search, each one quoted from its source.
  • Spanish and English. It runs in the browser and can be installed on a phone.
It's free, ad-free and non-profit. It was developed entirely with AI agents (I'm a professional software developer).

You can try it at https://meccg-companion.netlify.app/. It's open to everyone, and no account is needed.

Use of the CoE cards database. The app uses cards.json from council-of-elrond-meccg/meccg-cards-database (card names, Spanish texts and attributes), and quotes the CoE rules in its rules screen. The readme asks third-party projects to acknowledge the database and notify the Council, so this post is my notification. The app credits the Council of Elrond on its "Credits and sources" screen, with a link to the repository. If the Council would prefer different wording, or wants anything changed or removed, I'll do it.

I emailed info@councilofelrond.org first, and Kodi kindly pointed me here. A special thank you to Kodi, both for that advice and for the Remaster, which is what brought me back to the game and gives the app its card images, and to Alvaro, for activating my account and for such a warm welcome to the forum.

The card images come from the MeCCG Remaster, and the Remaster Team has already given their permission.

Feedback is very welcome, especially from solo players.

Thanks to the Council for keeping the game alive!

Jorge
