Is there a list somewhere of play formats or banned cards? Are there even ANY play formats or banned cards?
I also play LOTR CCG and they have Fellowship Block, Two Towers Block, Movie Block, etc...and of course many banned cards. I don't think I have seen anything like this for MECCG...please help.

There are a few formats, but each has no banned cards. People tend to play 2-deck general opponent, and sometimes hero only or minion only.
Tho there is one card that generally isnt played as a gentlemans agreement due to its cheezyness, and thats Carambor.
Compare him a bit to Galadriel, Lady Redeemed... sheisnt officially on the banned list of movie but people dont like to play with/against her either.

I checked out both cards that you mentioned...I found Galadriel but no card named "Galadriel, Lady Redeemed". Is it the same card? Am I just not looking hard enough?
I guess the extra movement of Carambor is considered really good in MECCG, especially since you can move to a haven if you need healing after an especially tough hazrad phase on the previous site. But if you have to choose right after your movement hazard phase, you might lose a character(s) to corruption by trying to get items and then you are forced to move anyways. BUT, it still gives you a chance to double your productivity for that turn if you are daring enough to attempt it...and risk getting STOMPED by the second set of hazards.
BUT...maybe you have to skip entering the site on the first site??? The wording says: "May tap at the end of his company's movement/hazard phase to allow it to move to an additional site on the same turn. Another site card may be played and another movement/hazard phase immediately follows for his company." That sounds like you just move again RIGHT after the initial movement/hazard phase...that can't be correct, otherwise I can't see a time that I would want to use it (expect for maybe going to a haven to hide and heal).

the reason why carambor is such a no-fun-experience is beacuse in a properly built deck he may move and move and move till both decks are exhausted twice. this means the game ends immediatedly at the end of the turn. now if the carambor player has started and managed to gain 1 signle MP (in addition to the Character MPs), he automatically wins 6:0 - the opponent has not even started to play (except a few hazards) ...Morgul_Rat wrote: I guess the extra movement of Carambor is considered really good in MECCG, especially since you can move to a haven if you need healing after an especially tough hazrad phase on the previous site. WOW, that does SUCK. They should institute a "loop" limit in the game, like a few other CCGs. Like this, "If an card would create an infinite loop, the action can only occur X times".

I indeed mention a Galadriel from the LOTR CCG, to compare a negative play experience.
