Kudos guys, for making this map, and also contacting Jo Hartwig! Can you not ask him to design us a full DC Map? he's done 80% of it allready
Well, it depends on the purpose of the map I suppose, whether you'd want something highly instructive and usable in a game, or something pretty to look at.
I'm currently thinking about using this high res. scan of the "regionless" ME Hartwig Map for a new DC Map version. Unfortunately I didn't have access to it at the time when I shopped the current version.
But I think it should have far more moderately displayed borders/icons/names etc., so the map itself comes more to the forefront. This is partly because I assume most people playing dc know the map very well by now, and use it less as source of info than as a tool for orientation and reference.
On the other hand, the blacked out mountain regions do have a very highly instructive use. And it is a bit confusing to see many mountain regions on the map that cannot actualy be used in the game. I'm still in doubt how to approach this problem.
But, perhaps you could somehow send me your basic version of this map, without borders etc. yet, but with all the names photoshopped out? It's a huge file, I know...
since this map is posted twice, I will delete the other post if you don't mind and add the comments to this thread.
