So, is everybody on board again? Glitches aside, can those who are not yet able to enter gccg send me a message (better yet, send Josh a message), so I get an idea whether we can start the tourney?

You dont need to run any batch files.
Open a terminal, go to your gccg folder and run the shell script ("Metw" fie) with "./Metw"

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
. tools/launch_client
gccg $* --server gccg.councilofelrond.org --design 1364x768 --user Peregrin metw.xml

He may not be able to run his normal account without password. So should just run gccg without "Peregrin" and ask marcos for password and later add "--user Peregrin"

The road is bumpy, but if we do not advance it seems nothing will happen.

And since I get only limited response from people, I set a new deadline, wide enough to allow people to restore things, tight enough to finish before Christmas.

end of first round: Wednesday 13-11

If your sealed account is missing, send a pm to josh with your (precise) username and see if he can restore it.

If he cannot, one of us on gccg with Judge permission can restore you the money to re-buy.
If you can demonstrate you are of absolute good faith, we might also restore just the cards on your decklist.

Trossell and I just played our game. I conceded after missing every roll on turn 1

Hmm, fwslc rules says nothing about conceding. I assume it will be considered a 25-0 result then, as if a violation of rules penalty.
but I would not encourage anybody to concede.

btw. 2 tips for using gccg these days:
- if the program doesn't connect straight away, right click on surface and select reconnect
- if your collection doesn't show, don't panic straight away, but use /refresh

it does say about forfeit, it is considered a 3-0 victory for Trossell
