I have a question regarding Crown of Flower + Gates of Morning when other cards are played.
I prefer to divide the question in little "introductory" questions first, to know if others things are clear to me, or if this things are correct or not:
1) I know that cards for example like Gates of Mornig affect both players. I believe, for example, that a Safe from the Shadow on the table should allow both players (when both are hero) to store items at the end of turn phase, independently of which player played the card.
2) If 1) is true: if player A plays Crown of Flowers, but he uses no other resource yet, and so remains CoF in play, just waiting. Then is ended the turn of player A. Can the player B in his own turn play a resource that uses the CoF of A? For example, player B plays a short event that uses Gates of Morning, so he uses the CoF instead, which is already in play, but belongs to player A. And at the end is the short event discarded and so should be CoF discarded too. Is this possible?
3) Suppose now that player A plays CoF, but he does not use the effect yet. Then, in another turn or the same, he plays Gates of Morning (regardless of his reason). I think this is allowed. GoM can not be duplicated, and CoF has the effect of GoM, but the card is not GoM, so it is not duplicated. Is this right?
4) If 3) is right, suppose the following now: as said, CoF and GoM are in play. When a company of player A moves in the m/h phase, player B attacks a character with a creature. Player A reacts with Dark Quarrels, using the alternative text (if Gates of Morning is in play, the number of strikes from any attack is reduced to half of its original number,
rounded up). I don't know if B needs to declare that he uses the effect of GoM or the effect of CoF "emulating" GoM, because both are in play. Then reacts player B with Twilight discarding GoM. But, as CoF is still in play, Dark Quarrels can still use the effect, reducing to half the number of strikes. Is this right?
Thank you.
Card texts:
Crown of Flowers
Environment. Crown of Flowers has no effect until you play a resource with it. You can play one resource from your hand with this card. The resource is considered to be played and to be in play as though Gates of Morning were in play and Doors of Night were not. Crown of Flowers does not affect the interpretation of any card except the resource played with it. Discard Crown of Flowers when the resource is discarded. Discard the resource if Crown of Flowers is discarded.
Dark Quarrels
Short‐event. Cancel one attack by Orcs, Trolls, or Men.
Alternatively, if Gates of Morning is in play, the number of strikes from any attack is reduced to half of its original number,
rounded up.
