Preparations for The Necromancer tournament are in full force, and we'll be doing the paring this weekend. As such, if you are not fully prepared yet (or have any questions), please send us a pm. If you have not completed both hero and minion deck, we can take this into account with the first pairing, which would give you another week. If you are in dire need, we can also supply a deck.
At the moment, we have 7 players confirmed, and 3 more possibles. If you are with the possibles, please confirm if you're in or not.
Confirmed: Franck, Hervé, Heiko, Holger, Mario, Nicolai, Eric
Possibles: Marcos, Stephane, William
Register your hero vs. minion deck as rd1, and your minion vs. hero deck as rd2.
As usual, dreamcard tournaments are more casual than competetive. However, this tournament is also about testing ME: The Necromancer set, with the goal of finishing it in the near future and releasing it as an official set. With that in mind, we hope you take the opportunity to put the cards to a serious test. We'll award prizes this time, contrary to our nature, also for the Cheeziest Play (involving a Necromancer card), and also Best Necromancer Tip.
First prize: full gccg set of choice
Second prize: 30 gccg cards of choice
Third prize: 15 gccg cards of choice
All participants: 1 DC promo of choice
additional prizes (to be determined): Cheeziest Play, Best Necromancer Tip, Most Thematic deck.
nb. for your hero vs. minion deck, you may construct a 10 card special sideboard to be used playing against a grey player (i.e. a Balrog). Use the vs. FW sideboard for this.

ok, pity.
Well I sent the above posts also as pm to named participants, so you must have had some notification. And as said, you can play with a deck constructed by me (so should be good ).
hopefully we can find a replacement to stay at 10 players.

Balrog (Mario) vs. Adanedhel (Eric): 2-4.
the score was 29-43, (after doubling in some category). Middle-earth was plagued by quite a few menacing creatures, but both sides battled through them admirably and did not suffer too many losses, though the wounds were substantial. In the end the heroes were a bit faster than the minions to complete their Great Achievement.
sidenote: people make sure that after updating you have used the /refresh command (or delete your .books files from the gccg root on your computer) at least once. Otherwise it can be a difficult game, where one side sees other cards than the opponent.
how are the rest progressing with their games?

I planned playing with Holger this evening, but big problem occured.
While seeing artwork, the cardname was another one, and Holger saw this other card.
Updating core and metw folders had no effect, just as refresh or deleting book file.
After searching half an hour, Holger found I was using wrong xml file in Metw.bat, which was metwDC.xml instead of metw.xml.
Now deck is a big mess.
So game postponed to Friday ...

Hrum, Hoom ! Do not be hasty, that is my motto.
Hello. I just found this thread from Thorsten's gccg comment. Yes, I can play this Friday/Saturday. My first opponent is Heiko, so I will pm him.
Those darn Riders of Rohan slowed down the mail again.
edit: I already had a Necromancer resource deck made. Now just modified it for 30/30.

I played yesterday vs Holger.
He was unlucky, drawing Elrond last turn and losing Glorfindel with cc2.
Last turn Sauron wielded great dominion for a whopping 10 MPs, because miscellanous doubled.
Finally I won 37-17 MPs thus 6-0 TPs.

Heiko and I failed to get pass Turn 2 with my issue of not clearing the cache and not using the Editor to make my deck.
So we will resume on Tuesday. He could not see my MENE cards - something else would appear like Troll Henchman for Fizzling Torch.
" I tap Troll Henchman to cancel a non-automatic attack Awakened Plant attack." No. That won't work.
I can play my round 2 game this week as a hero? Any takers? I can get my hero deck finished tonight.
