if a hobbit under the effects of resource playing of tookish blood fails the cc of cracks of doom, is the one ring discarded and the hobbit keeps in play? or both ring and hobbit stays in table?

Game over man, game over. (The ring gets dunked, assuming the hobo didn't get eliminated by the cc.)

Some technical mumbo jumbo:

If an effect is in play that prevents a character from being discarded, the character is not considered to fail his corruption check if a result is achieved that would discard him. A Wizard would not be eliminated and his player would not lose the game
