Flatter a Foe wrote:Flattery attempt. Playable on a character whose company is facing an attack of the type listed below. Character makes an influence check (modified by his usual direct influence and +2 if a diplomat). If successful, the attack is canceled and the hazard limit for the character's company is decreased by two. The influence check is successful if the result is greater than: 10 against a Dragon; 11 against Men or Drakes; 12 against Trolls, Orcs, Elves, and Giants.
My hero company is being attacked by opponent's company consisting of both Orcs and Trolls. May I use FaF to cancel this attack?

Lidless Eye, Using MELE with METW, Combat, Canceling an Attack From a Company wrote:You can cancel an attack from a company just like you would cancel any other attack. Certain cards and abilities only cancel attacks with specific race types (e.g., Not Slay Needlessly only cancels attacks by Elves, Dwarves, Dúnedain, and Men). Such a card can be used to cancel an attack from company only if each character in the company has one of the race types that the card can cancel.

Example: In order to cancel an attack from a company, a scout in the defending company may tap to play A Nice Place to Hide.

Orc Quarrels normally cancels an Orc. Troll, or Man attack. So it can be used to cancel an attack from a company if that company consists of only Orcs. Trolls, and Men.
Underline mine.

We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.
